My name is Brandon Clutton, writer/producer of the feature film Lake Chippewa with Ron Livingston and Patricia Arquette. Don’t worry, you haven’t heard of it yet. We’re dealing with SONY PICTURES, which owns Columbia which owns the rights to GHOSTBUSTERS. Now I know you’ve all heard the damn rumors about Ghostbusters In Hell with Ben Stiller. It’s not too late. We can save the franchise!
I can do it. I already have interest from Keira Knightly to play the villain! Let’s save the franchise together, as fans, and people who know more then the suits in Hollywood. I’m currently in talks with Dan Aykroyd but we need your help. We’re shooting a short Ghostbusters Film to help sell our idea for Ghostbusters III. Kinda like how the director of Sin City got the rights from Frank Miller. We do some funding for this and we need GREAT looking PROTON PACKS and one PKE meter. Help us out and you could be in the FEATURE LENGTH LIVE ACTION GHOSTBUSTERS III MOVIE!!!
We’re willing to make any kind of deal! We have limited funding so we are more then happy to borrow any GREAT LOOKING PROTON packs and are willing to put up a security deposit for the packs. The packs will only be used on ONE DAY OF SHOOTING, which most likely be on the backlot of Universal Studios. They will not be used in any sort of stunts or even in public where they can be stolen or touched by anyone but the few people working on the short.
Hey man I’d love to be part of movie history. I have 4 proton packs that are movie replicas. You guys can borrow them for as long as you want. I would love to see a GB3 movie. I won’t be needing the packs this year because for Halloween i’m going to be a Jedi. Send me a pm and we can discuss this. I have pics.
Maybe you should use some of that limited funding to pay for gas/food/and hotel stay for the person that lets you borrow the props. That way they can be hand delivered and see for themselves…
Something about this seems wrong. If they wouldn’t let Dan Aykroyd, who created Ghostbusters make a third one, then this definitely won’t fly. Besides if Sony was truly interested in saving the franchise, they could look at the time and effort that Hank Braxtan and many other fan filmmakers put into their films and realize that the dream is still alive. But the chances of that happening is about as good as the Real Ghostbusters getting released as season boxsets.
There’s a difference between fan films and making the third film. I have access. I’m not making this alone. I want Dan Aykroyd to read my draft and help me re-write it. I’ve told him that. I said to him “My draft is not perfect as is. It needs your help. Your voice.”
They are in talks of Ghostbusters III. They’re calling it “Ghostbusters In Hell” and want Ben Stiller to be in it. Tell me that’s not a bad idea!
We’re making Ghostbusters III either way. I’m a fan of both movies and the cartoon show! I want the movie franchise to end a high and positive note! I want my heros to shine one more time, and not just be some stupid knock off that the Columbia and Sony can make money off! You can have a commercially successfull and artistic successfull movie. It can be done. And I will not let there be a third GB movie without Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. So let’s all band together as fans of the franchise and save it from “Ghostbusters In Hell!” I know you don’t know me yet. But I have a feature film with Patricia Arquette and Ron Livingston, and possibly Martin Sheen called Lake Chippewa! As soon as the website is up and running I’ll post a link. We’re real people that want to do justice to a franchise that’s inspired all of us to become the people we are today.
This movie is happening either way. This is a chance for all the fans out there to help make it a good movie! You guys rock! I love that you’re questioning the hell out of me and our motives. All that shows me is that you care and want nothing but the best for the next GB movie. I love you all!
Maybe this is strange to us because it doesn’t happen allll the time. Maybe this guy is for real. We should look into helping him either way. He mentioned putting a security deposit down. Build the packs, take the deposit, which should be a FAIR deposit for FOUR packs and a PKE meter, to me in my opinion i’m thinking upper $thousands$, and send him the packs after that. The security deposit will be the hand shake of the deal. We should know then. Don’t throw away this guys request because you think it’s crap. Maybe it is…bbbuuuttt maybe it isn’t. I’d like to help.
In fact, it’s not yours! If you want a pack and don’t want to build one, just say so. Your rouse is extremely transparent and reeks of self-loathing. At least Photoshop some pictures of yourself with Ron or Patricia or even Dan-o and gives us a reasonable effort in your lie. You have never talked to Dan. You have never met Dan. You don’t sit around with Dan and chew bubble gum saying, “Yeah! Let’s put Ben Stiller in the revival of GB!”
To anyone who thinks this guy is real: Might I remind you that studios have their own prop houses and spend MILLIONS on motion pictures and the industry. They PROTECT their property and rights to that licensing. No ass-clown would be sent on a mission to secure prop parts from an internet community, for free nonetheless.
Brandon, you’re good for a laugh but will find no home or respect from die-hards here. In the eternal words of Melvin Udall, “Where do they teach you to talk like this? In some Panama City “Sailor wanna hump-hump” bar, or is it getaway day and your last shot at his whiskey? Go sell crazy someplace else, we’re all stocked up here.”
Hey man, I can call columbia but even if they do have some packs in their warehouse they’re going to charge a lot just to use them. I understand you don’t believe me. That’s fine.
But I have sent info to Dan Aykroyd through his agent and to his personal home address.
Once my website is up for my feature with Ron Livingston and Patricia Arquette, I’ll post the link so you can all see I’m real. And I’m not looking to keep any proton packs. I need four packs for one day of shooting on the Universal Backlot which I have access through due to being an Alumi of New York Film Academy. Look up NYFA online and you will see they’re located at Universal.
Dan Aykroyd has said there will be no GBIII but there also reports of Ghostbusters In Hell. I’ve been in the business long enough to know when something can and can not be done.
And if you don’t believe I’m real, talk to my agent at ICM. Ask for Danny in Ricky Berman’s office.
Hey where in MN you from? I’m from Minneapolis/Fridley. I might actually be shooting part of the short in MN with a studio there that has a blue screen. We want to shoot this quickly so we can get it into the hands of Aykroyd, Ramis, Reitman, and the two co-presidents of production of Columbia pictures Matt Tolmach and Doug Belgrad.
We have NO studios here. So your shooting will wrap very quickly!
Look for Bradford Entertainment. They have their own studio space. They just purchased sound equipment from Skywalker Sound Ranch that was just used on the last three Star Wars films.
But you seem to be a little over agressive against our project, but thanks. The few people that have messaged me will learn that we are, in fact, real and not just trying to score free anything, and I’m sure they will eventually come forth to help spread the word of our project.
Until then, we’ll just put up with negative people. Just too bad that it has to come from a fellow Minnesotan.
