I was just checking some release dates over at IGN.com and noticed that Ghostbusters isn’t listed under the PSP section? Hopefully it hasn’t been cancelled. Does anyone have any news on this? I reserved my copy a month ago at FYE and the dude behind the counter said it had a release date of October 15th.
I posted this question at the official site. It’s still coming out. It will be in the fall.
One thing I do worry is, it might be for the new PSP that is coming out in the fall and not for the old PSP. I guess we just have to wait and see.
That was one of the questions asked a while back to a Sony rep who was showing off the new PSPGo when they unveiled it…will select games not be digital downloads only? While they will surely be going all digital oneday, thats a long ways away. It seems everyone wants all media to be digital oneday. I guess I’m one of the few who is against it, as I just like owning physical media like games and movies on disc. The recent deleting of a few books from Amazon on users Kindle devices without the customers knowing is a prime example of why I support physical media as wel as digital, instead of just digital…
But I’ve gotten off the point. Anyways, Sony has taken the official stance that every video game for the PSP will be out on UMD disc and will also be available for digital download via the PSN. So yeah, if your like me and have an original PSP (I have the slim, but not the 3000) then we should be fine. Either way, if Sony does offer it only as a download, provided you have a memory stick with enough space, it can still be downloaded and played on a regular PSP. But yeah, Sony says games will now get physical and digital releases, so we should be covered. I was just wondering if the game was still coming out since IGN didnt have it listed. But judging from the uber amount of media they provide, its not suprising when they miss a tidbit here and there. That sites got almost too much going on.
well as far as I know from some sources…that it was cancelled, but if you are right I would love to get this version if it is available for the original PSP. I just hope it will be something good and not the Wii/PS2 version which I have for the Wii. If it is sorta like the PS3/Xbox 360 version I might go for it seeing I have no way so far of getting the system and I really am doubting getting the PC one seeing alot of gamers have had issues on it frying their PC. But whatever I still want to get the DS one and play it cause it looks and sounds fun for on the go.
do they give out refund for thingds like that? i mean if the games canceled?

From what i just seen game stop still has ghost busters listed coming out November 3rd so I hope as well it is still coming out.
I did a little checking myself last week. Gamefaqs.com has a release date of November 3rd and the Atari website has
a similar release date. I also saw the cover art for the game. It looks like Atari ported the Wii/PS2 version over to the
PSP. I have the PS2 version of the game and it’s still a cool game to play. I’m definitely getting it when it comes out.
That’s interesting…I was hoping to get this, hopefully it will be good (I haven’t play anything but the Xbox 360 version yet!)
I know that the PSP Go is coming out on like October 1st or something? I’m assuming that since nobody has made a big deal about it, it will still play the same games as the PSP 1000, 2000, & 3000. I really hope so, because otherwise the game will probably be coming out for the PSP Go. Shrugs
