I’m finished with my pack my particle thrower, trap and costume…lol. But i’m having nine kinds of trouble trying to find a way to mount the thrower. I would rather not order the dixie cup brackets, just for certain reasons. But have any of you used any other methods as far as the mount goes? I’m in serious need of help on this, so any suggestions would be helpful. And please dont tell me to just order the brackets, i’m not doing it.
Can’t understand why people make it harder then they have to, I am more then willing to take a MO if Paypal is a problem and sell the generic “dixie” hook for $5 delivered in the US $7 delivered to most of the world…
Anyway try browsing some of the forums, a few alternatives have been tossed up here and there, from something off a camcorder to picture hooks… You could probably even fabricate something out of some metal stock without a huge amount of hassle…
Someone gave me an old VHS camcorder and for my pack/wand connection I used the track that held the eyepiece. For my trap holder, I’m using the track that is used on the track lighting found in some homes. I got it out of the trash so I have no idea how much it costs, but I’m certain they would sell some at Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc. A look through the store would likely turn up even more alternatives.
i built mine from a piece in the roofing dept of lowes and sanded a piece of wood like a triangle(only without the edges) and it looks fine. gun goes on easy and comes off easy. i got some pics in a post called my pack and new pics
I fabricated one out of sheet metal and wood.It held up for Halloween but after a year or so of showing it off,the hook had it.
But Exoray,I may take you up on two of those dixie brackets.
