Is it really necessary to have an amp installed on the proton pack in order for it to function properly? I know that it keeps the batteries from dying quicker, but I’m just curious if I can just run the pack off the batteries instead?
not sure if it actually keeps the batteries from dying quicker cause my amp pulls constantly when its not being used.but to answer your ? when i had sound issues i took the amp out of play to track down the problem and yes it worked but for me it sounded better running through my amp but i know someone with a pack and there using one big speaker and it sounded distorted with the amp so he took it out.
Assuming you’re referring to an amp like the Canakit setup, the amp isn’t for your battery. The battery is for your amp. It’s a sound amplifier, not a power amplifier. And yes, if you want your sound card to be louder than a whisper, you’ll want one.
