An interesting read from Violet Ramis.
What a nice piece. When she wrote about ‘stop talking about my father spinning in his grave’ when people bring down GB16 I felt so bad for her.
Good read. It makes me wonder if things would have been a little different if Mr. Ramis was still with us.
“They know you’re not really Egon, right?”
I loved this article! And her struggle with the new film brings a different dimension to the proceedings than anyone else could have.
Such a lovely read
Egon is and always has been my favourite and the more I hear about Harold Ramis over the years the more I admire the man behind him. Very much looking forward to her book.
And have to agree with Alpha, I’ve always hated the “turning in the grave” phrase, I find it so disrespectful to those that have passed, the very ones they purport to be defending, glad she called them out on that but sad she had to experience it.
A fantastic piece. The insight into Harold was really special. Seems like he was a cool dude who raised a cool daughter.
I really wish we had been able to see more of Harold Ramis as Harold Ramis thanks to this article. He seems to have done a great job of raising his daughter with a level head and some great perspective.
If only he got a better movie dedicated to his memory. ![]()
