Here’s a neat idea. How’s about they cast ME as Oscar? Yeah, yeah, I know. That’s all annoying and everything, but seriously, if they want a completely unknown actor to portray him, I think I’d be a good pick. Perhaps if you watch my youtube videos, you might even agree. Sarah Silverman as a new female GB.
Jason Mewes as a new GB. I couldn’t see this before, but I can see it now…ever since I saw him tone it down from his traditional role in the Viewaskew Universe in “Zack and Miri Make a ■■■■■”. He learned to do subtle comedy.
Lee Thompson Young as a new GB. Some of you might recognize him as ‘Cyborg’ from Smallville.
Bill Hader as a GB? Okay, yeah I’ll agree to that.
I definitely cannot see this. it’s almost like pulling names out of hat of random comedians. both of their tones wouldn’t work for a GB movie.

Exactly. I’m thinking outside of the box. With the originals already in the movie, its not necessary to match the personalities of Venkman, Stantz, Spengler, and Zeddemore.
Silverman and Mewes may be comedians, but they’re also actors. Plus they come off as real people on and off screen. I never would have chosen Mewes if all he’s ever done is “Snoochie Boochies”. Working with Kevin Smith all these years and branching off into his own projects is strengthening his range. In “Zack and Miri Make a ■■■■■”, the only similarity with his View Askew alter ego was his labido. Other than that, he toned it down alot and exhibited subtle humor that can be suitable for GB. I expected him to be his loud-mouth self in that movie, but he never was.
Silverman is definitely not the damsel in distress type of woman, nor is she butch. She’s the kind of woman who can match wits with the boys, chug a beer, be girly, take a pratfall, keep her composure, be self-depreciatingly funny when losing her cool, and wouldn’t mind engaging in gross-out humor––getting slimed. Is she perfect for GB? No. Is she qualified, I’d say so.
