Real Ghostbusters - is that happening?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there’s any word on the RGB line Matty announced at SDCC last year?

Marc

Mattel - “We told you to hurry up and wait”

I, too, have been super curious.

I’m actually shocked & in utter disbelief that no Toy company has produced a Ghostbusters classics line that included both Real Ghostbusters & Extreme Ghostbusters Ghosts & Busters action figures. I’m bored with the over-saturation of action figures from all other animated series, when is our franchise gonna get that same treatment?

hey you guys should sound off in the ask matty forum. if all three (or more) ask back to back they may actually answer us. i’ve done it 3 times alone now.

Hey Slay!

Even though I’m fed up with their nonsense, I asked Matty for you.

"Matty opened his mouth and said that there would be action figures based on “The Real Ghostbusters” cartoon series. That was almost a year ago.

Some Fans believe that this will still happen. Don’t string them along in hopes that they will buy from your other toy lines, it doesn’t work like that.

Are you going to produce the Figures or not?"

Hey Slays, To somewhat echo The Capt if it has happened yet it ain’t happenin’ pal.

If we don’t hear about it by the end of SDCC 2015, continue moving on. No idea if they do or will have rights to make Ghostbusters figures for the upcoming whatever take on Ghostbusters that’s coming out. Probably a better chance of Mattel announcing that within a year. :whatever:

At this point I’d prefer Matty to never make another Ghostbusters figure. Until I can tell otherwise, the latest Egon court room is a poor example of a toy company’s attempt to reuse parts and profit. It isn’t even accurate.

What I wouldn’t mind seeing is Funko (if they can secure those rights) is make ReAction figures. I suppose RGBs is preferred, I’d give their take on movie versions a chance.

as a source material accurate figure collector, Funko ReAction is the farthest thing i’m looking for. The reason they make so many figures from so many titles is b/c they secure zero likeness rights and have all their sculpting done overseas where the figures are made. not knocking it, just not my thing as a figure collector.

The ReAction line is interesting in concept but so many of the licences they do deserve proper, detailed action figures, the ReAction versions kind of feel like a kick in the balls sometimes. I’d be surprised if they didn’t do Ghostbusters at some point.
