I am very pleased to hear this, now I do not have to save up to buy the first 14 issues of The Real Ghostbusters comic book series individually. Also I hope that in the near future an Omnibus book with issues 15-28 is in the works along with the short lived Voulme two run and the two special issues.
I loved reading this series as a kid, and I was thrilled to find to find that in addition to the orginal stories, the RGB’s also had encounters with familar villians like Sam Haine, The Boogey Man, and the People Busters* as as well.
*They appeared in a back up story in the 1993 annual issue, that sadly was nover completed as NOW filed for Bankruptcy.
I hope they get to put out Omnibus Vol. 2 as well. Heck, between RGB Vol.2 (the comics), the GB2 adaptation, and in a pinch stuff from the Slimer! comics, they’d probably have enough material to do an Omnibus Vol. 3. (Especially if they don’t bother with the Marvel UK stuff, which was of lower quality and a lot of it has been reprinted by Titan Books anyway)
As far as the Peoplebusters/Professor Epimetheus story goes…it would be awesome that, in the unlikely event more material that never made it to print exists, it comes out in Vol.3. Or failing that, if there’s some plot outlines or scripts from the unfinished stories…or just call Barry Peterson up and ask him…something to let us know how that tale would have turned out.
Sure, there’s at least one fan attempt to finish that story out there (I know…er…because I wrote it), but it would still be awesome to get a hint as to what might have been.
