Anyway, this might sound rediculous and it probably is. But I figured I’d throw it out there anyway.
Everyone knows they make visible lasers nowadays. There just isn’t anyway to get a laser beam to snake around in an arc like a proton stream does. Or is there?
I remember an optical illusion I found in a magic book when I was a kid called “rubber pencil”! You take a pencil and move your hand up and down, while at the same time allowing the pencil to wobble between your fingers.
The motion is somewhat stable in the middle of the pencil and not so at the edges and it looks like the pencil is all flexible and rubbery!
I wonder if you moved the source of the laser correctly if you could produce the same wobbling effect?
i know what you’re talking about, but i dont know if its possible. i have thought about doing the laser thing. but to get a powerful enough laser you can see the beem with out it being too dark or cloudy… very very exspensive. well the ones i found were http://www.wickedlasers.com/index.php
Well, it is possible to bend light. Case in point, take a flashlight and shine it in a fishtank, while some might say the light is just being reflected, it is being changed in direction and seems to be bending.
