Ok, guys… I’ve searched for this and haven’t come up with anything so maybe one of you can help.
According to screen shots from the movie, the relay mounted on the trap pedal is 90 degrees off phase. Meaning that the parts that are supposed to be facing front to back in the movie face left to right on the actual part when installed in the socket. The relay and socket (as well as the socket and metal mounting plate) are all keyed to only be installed one way. So turning the relay 90 degrees is out of the question without modification. My question is, how have others corrected this? Have they simply ground off one of the keys or is there some other “secret” to this? I know these are for sale in the shop but I do not want to experiment and ruin a perfectly good part that someone else could have used.
