Well I do get all the free packing foam I want and have unlimited use of the old cnc. Besides I saved the program. It only takes an hour to cut the shape out.
Is there a better foam you could use? Something that has less pores?
Why not rewrite the program to make it an “outie” instead of an “innie”?
Well when you make a mold dont you make a cast of the original you want to duplicate. Well I skipped the making the buck step so I dont have to spend the extra money on the materials for the buck. So when it works I can show you all that I was not as crazy as I sound for a new guy. I hope that I dont offend anyone with my odd ideas.
Yet but the mold of the origial should be flexible. A rigid mold is typically only good for a limited number of pulls. A rigid mold made of foam will be lucky to stand up to one pull.
I could make a new mold out of wood using my cnc program I wrote to cut the shape in the foam.
Make it out of something similar to pink insulation foam. Make one for each pack you need, as you will be destroying the mold after each use.

No I just live in a rural area of north Alabama. so internet is only available through dial-up or satellite. the dial up is so slow and the satellite kind is out of my price range.

Has anyone ever made a fiberglass motherboard? If so was it strong enough for our packs?
It would be stronger than aluminum, but a bit heavier.
they dont allow those.. i wish they did that week… LOL
