Hey all, DarkSpectre here. Well, I finally took the initiative over the weekend and converted my RGB trap to a Movie trap. Originally, I had just painted it with the movie color scheme but I got sick of looking at that huge bulb looking thing on the left side. I am extremely pleased with how this looks. Questions and comment welcome
very nice
Oh snap very very nice. Me likes this one also. You mustve did what I did with my rgb trap and dremeled out the one side and covered over the holes with wood or styrene or something and put the rods on and gave it a very nice look. If you look a few threads down you will see how I converted my rgb trap to look like a cartoon trap.
Did you change the pedal at all, or did you just paint it?
I appreciate the kind words. I just got this notion that I was going to do this thing and spent about 5 hours this past Saturday finishing it(thank god for quick drying spray paint). To answer your question, Donkey8012, I have a trap pedal kit on the way. I did however paint the pedal(which took forever to dry) and weathered it. but i figured that since i was going to build the movie pedal assembly around it, that I didn’t need to take a pic of it. The side is just a piece of plastic. I put the screws in to give it more realism. The only thing about the RGB traps is because of their size, putting lights in would be difficult. I would rather it look the part and open as opposed to light up. If I decide to build a full on movie replica it will have lights.
