Okay so the bottom part of the ribbon cable is attached with the ribbon clamps, but whats the best way to attach the other end? Its inserted somehow into the pack under the crank gen, but how? A circular hole? A small rectangular hole? I’ve also seen some people have put a rubber washer around where the cable is inserted.

Just curious what people think the best way is.
Just stick it in the round hole
What size hole? How would you secure it to the back of the shell?
i cut a 1" circular hole in my plating. 1" looked about right from the reference pics, and i plan on simply shoving the cable in there and it staying put. if i have to, i’ll put some epoxy in there to hold the cable, but i want to keep it removable if possible, for later adjustment, if needed.
some feel it goes into a hole, others feel it wraps around a dowel of some sort and is simply glued to the face of the pack.
see this thread: http://www.gbfans.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13916
Yeah, I had actually thought of the dowel option. It makes sense that soemthign would be used to keep the end of the cable twisted the was it should be and held in place. I guess I smaller hole would work as well . Hmmmm.
Thanks for the link.
Ok, does anyone have any pics of the end in question ?
