Ive studied the reference pictures, but I’m still wondering what size hole is recommended/accurate for feeding the ribbon cable into?
It’s the top hole in this blueprint;

Approximately 20mm hole, or .75 inch hole should do. The ribbon cable can be tucked in to cover the hole, if it is too large.
In the end, any hole that you can fit the cable through is fine, as the size of the hole itself cannot be seen that clearly from a finished pack.
Yeh, once the cable is shoved in there it’s hard to see what size the hole is anyway.
3/4" has worked best for me though.
