RIP Gary Coleman
It’s strange, Diff’rent Strokes was never particularly big over here… but at least in my household, Gary Coleman is a known name even if it’s from the more geek/subculture aspect of it. His cameo in the Simpsons was amusing and memorable, and the light-hearted depiction of him in Avenue Q is one of the other things that immediately comes to mind when I think of him.
It’s strange because despite not having really seen him in anything, I did feel more than a pang of sorrow when the unfortunate news was announced.

guys, let’s not have a repeat of the RIP Jackson thread. Coleman was a favorite of mine as a child, and I never missed a show. He had a tough life afterwards and had health issues on top of it all. I love poking fun at people, but let’s give the dead their rest.

I never had a bad thought about Coleman, even during his bad times. I’m glad he got a little money and fame along the way, but he didn’t deserve a tough life that ended this early, that’s for sure.
Falling on his head no less. Yeah, he didn’t have a lot of mass, but when you hit a rock, you hit a rock, There’s really no argument there.
