Rothco flight suits for big guys

Hello. I purchased a 3xl rothco flight suit and it seems that its alittle tight in the crotch section. Im about six oot and 300 lbs. It fits fine everywhere else. Just wondering if anybody else about my size has purchased the 4xl rothco or any other suit that might fit better, and be in about the same price range. Thanks!!

rothcos are horrible. i have the same problem with mine, and im 5’8’’ 230 … you be better off saving up the money and getting a custom gibson and barnes like im doing … you migh wanna check the forums here about sizing for the tru specs also..

Rocthco’s are horrible… but if you are on a budget after building all the rest of the gear a gibson and barnes or nomex might be out of the range for now.

I am 6’0 and 220 and I have had zero problems with my rothco unless I am sitting down… then it does get a bit tight around the crotch.

djfm : goto a local army navy and test the 4x if they have it in stock (hopefully)

Yeah if i bought a gibson barnes after the money i spent on my pack and other stuff my wife would shoot me. Unlucky for me i live in a small town in indiana and our army navy store closed. I think im just gonna buy the 4xl and see how it fits. The 3xl is just to tight even while standing.

good luck trying that 4x. was the 3x like really really choking you? I cant imagine how that would feel with the rest of the gear on…

it wasnt choking me but i keep getting wedgies and its pretty tight on the junk even standing. Its even worse with my gear on.

After taking advice from Kind2311 to get a TruSpec to replace my Rothco, I found that TruSpec suits fit SO much better than the equivalent size Rothco. I had a 2XL Rothco which was a little tight around the belly (and trust me, I’ve got a belly), as well as constrictive around the jewels. After getting the TruSpec, those problems were gone, and the material/construction was loads better than the Rothco, and it was only like $5 more.

I got a Rothco… I’m 5’10 240 and I don’t have any problem with the size… straight or seating no problem… it really depend on the lenght of the torso…
