Would have been a nice item to have, but a little too expensive for me.

The seller seems reputable, and it came with a Certificate of Authenticity, but I’m still a little sceptical at the authenticity of this item, maybe because the seller didn’t show the back side of the cards.

Thoughts?

I would have been a little wary if they didn’t show the back of the cards…also, I don’t know if it’s the glare or I’m blind or whatever, but the cards Bill has and the cards being sold look like they’re a slightly different shape. Don’t Bill’s look a little longer, and the other ones a little more squat? I could be wrong, but I wouldn’t buy before I was 100% sure.

I don’t think so.

Unless the aspect ratio is off on the image, they are definitely not the right size.

The corners are rounded on the screen-used cards.

Yup, BS. I like how it comes with a certificate of authensicity signed by the guy that’s selling it like that makes it better. :whatever:

And there goes the credibility of all his other stuff too.

Ah, they’re definitely not the right size. Glad I didn’t bid! (Not that I had the money anyway  )

I guess COAs are a bunch of crap, at least from this seller.

Yeah, it might as well come with a few sheets of toilet paper to go with that COA. Make a complete set.

The dimensions of the cards and even the size and shape of the symbols are totally off. He could’ve at least rounded the corners. What a scam!

:sigh:

Maybe they were the stunt cards.

ba-DUM ching

$400 bogus flash cards. $49 for each card :sigh:

“A fool and his money”.

There’s a sucker for everything I guess..

the backs of the cards were actually blank… that was enough for me to steer clear.

The ESP cards used in the movie are clearly jumbo Bicycle ESP cards, which are still available (mostly used for magic tricks these days). They’re the same rectangular shape as normal Bicycle playing cards, just bigger. A pack is about $25.00 from most internet magic shops, and includes 25 cards, five of each symbol.

Also, a big giveaway is the triangle on the card on the right. Regular ESP cards do not have a triangle!

There are five shapes in regular ESP cards…

Circle

Plus sign

Wavy lines

Square

Star

Somebody should contact the buyer, and also notify ebay for this counterfeit.

do you mean these prop is an original?

I’ve seen that invoice so many times that it would just be safer to assume that it’s not genuine (there’s a PDF file somewhere of it, which should make you doubly wary of it), especially in light of the fake ESP cards.

Shame. Looks like the buyer couldn’t have been too familiar with Ghostbusters. :whatever: Or is far too trusting.

I just reported it to eBay. The ones AJ sells are more authentic.
