dude come on ur ruining the site for us fans you have turned it into the greatest site ever but with the cost of sony getting pissed off every day! With the RGB videos, With you selling prints, the new calander, everything your trying to sell. all this other information and stuff that should not be on here. Seriously start to wise up about this before you jump into something that will ultimately make this site extinct. im warning you for the last time.
i know alot but like i said start calming down some things. some things can slide on this site but not all and sony wants you to know that your being watched . im done with being the middle man.

If there’s something you knew, why not send AJ the info privately rather than looking like you’re publicly threatening him rather than offering what Sony apparently went to you to tell? :walterpeck: It appears like you’re coming off as hostile about it.
In all honesty I have been thinking about this for a while now… Especially with the new calendar and all… You really should watch your step, AJ. Not threatening, because I don’t know anyone or have any inside scoop, but I do have common sense, and it’s warning me.
Pack parts you can get away with, official GB merchandise too, because yo’ve already paid Sony when you bought the t-shirts, but with things like the prints you’re giving sony a focal point to aim thier lawyers at if and when they want to lash out.
And the calender, well it’s just plain illegal. You don’t own the intellectual property rights to be making something like that, nor do you have the expressed permission to make something like that. The Ghostbusters logo is all over that thing, and you’re making all the money for it. It’s very VERY illegal, there’s a reason I didn’t submit any artwork for it.
I like this website, a lot, you know that, but I don’t want to see you in the crosshair’s of Sony’s legal department, I would tone it back a smidge (calender at least).
But is it any different to selling GB logo patches? Surely that’s the same idea? and I don’t see anybody complaining about it when they buy patches for their uniforms…
The Calendar is a Fan Calendar. There is no hint at it being official, and it does not take away from any of Sony’s properties. All of the artwork included is created by Fans (and owned by those fans). Its not like we went out there and just used Screenshots from the movies.. would it have been any different if we had just put up pictures of Fan’s Props and them in their costumes? Afterall.. that would include the logo too.. wouldn’t it?
As for the prints.. I am the owner of a few of those prints and have a right to sell them. Some of those pictures are no different from the ones you might buy on eBay or other print selling places.
Sony monitors this website and they have my email / number. They can contact me if they would like to discuss things. The fact of “ghostbuster4lyfe” contacting me is because his friends uncles cousin works for Sony (or was it Sierra?) and that friend is poking fun at gb4lyfe’s gullible nature.
You can tack fan onto as many things as you like but it won’t change the fact that’s illegal. And yes, selling the no-ghost patches is illegal, in fact most of what happens on ebay is fairly illegal. It’s America’s number one black market.
I know you claim it being a labor of fans will make it all better, but I’m just saying it won’t. I’m guessing you’re making some profit from it, I know you’re not paying the artists, which they agreed to. But the ghostbusters logo and the fact that a Cadillac design are in your calendar is very very illegal. You have to pay property rights ALWAYS, especially on items you sell.
If the time comes where you get a C&D from Sony don’t fight it, just gracefully backdown.
This topic is kinda funny. Some random guy comes in here and is telling AJ to C&D all actions pretty much. The Calendar is all fan made. The images used belong to the fans that drew them, and they gave permission for them to be used, therefore selling them is ok.
Like someone else has already said. Selling the stuff here is no different then selling the patches on eBay or all the random prints you find there.
If you remove all of the things from this site that are potentially illegal, then you will be left with nothing. Just FYI.

STOP TRYING TO DO THINGS NEW AND ORIGINAL.. AND KEEP YOUR SITE MEDICORE.. OR MORE PEOPLE WILL HATE YOU FOR PROVIDING THEM THE MOST KICK ASS GB SITE EVER.
