I think this needs some clarification before Ghostbuster56 thinks we ban those who talk about GB3.
Little back story, Ghostbusters III isn’t happening. Older members of the board, like myself, remember rumors about Ghostbusters III all the way back from 97 or 98. I myself came to the online Ghostbusters community in search of GBIII news. After a few years of spit fire rumors, and even a script being produced we were finnaly content with the fact that it isn’t happening. At least, I’m happy with it at that.
However, for the past few years a character named Patrick has been taking off with every little GBIII rumor and creating a lot of mis-information and havoc in the online community. He’s sent threatening and nasty e-mails to those who try to explain what’s really happening to him and his actions become more and more troll like. Eventually after the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGI movie a rumor popped up that Ghostbusters III would be CGI, again he ran with it, and again fouled up the boards with his non-sense.
Eventually he gathered a bosom buddy named rockmx8 who was only a little less awful and mentally profound than Patrick, but was on the same crazy ass band wagon. Eventually, thank god, the community boards (Ghostbusters.net, Ghostbusters Fans and then running Ghostbusters HQ) finnaly banned his ass.
And thus the little rat ■■■■■■■ is no more.

All of who have been banned for being trolls and generally unstable individuals.
I’ve seen rockmx8 occasionally post on GBI’s forums…dunno if he got banned tho…
They’re all the same Freak-a-Troll person with a chemical imbalance. He also enjoys posting to places as “SONY” which cracks me (and the folks I know at Sony) up.
Not yet, unless Spengs banned him when I wasn’t looking. But believe me, it won’t take much for me to drop the hammer on that guy if he starts pulling the same stuff he’s pulled everywhere else.

I think you’re giving them credit they’re not due. That clip of Dan is pretty slyly edited, and so I wouldn’t really draw any conclusions from it.
Didn’t Dan pretty much state that the game is the third movie? There’s no need for a new GB movie. Yet. And even if there was one being written isn’t he supposed to have control of it since he created the franchise?

Columbia calls up new ‘Ghostbusters’
Eisenberg, Stupnitsky to write reunion film
By MICHAEL FLEMINGColumbia Pictures is getting serious about scaring up a new installment of its blockbuster “Ghostbusters” franchise.
The studio has set “The Office” co-exec producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to write a script for a film designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.
Studio would not comment on the development and has been mum on recent rumors that there was interest in making another installment of the franchise.
The scribes just wrote “Year One,” a comedy that was directed by Ramis. Ramis with Aykroyd wrote the first two installments of the films. Ivan Reitman directed both the 1984 original and the sequel that was released in 1989. The close proximity between the writers and original Ghostbuster Ramis is evidence that the ghost chasers have sparked to the idea of returning.
“Ghostbusters” was Columbia’s highest grossing film ever, until it was beaten by “Men in Black” and then “Spider-Man.” An attempt to make a third installment of the franchise was stymied in the dealmaking stage. Sources said so much gross was pledged to the participants that it was next to impossible for the studio to make any money on a third installment.
No deals will be made with the original cast until the script is ready, but the gross percentage will certainly be an issue. Sony has a standing policy not to allow more than 25% of first dollar gross out the door.
The scribes, who are Emmy- nominated for their work on “The Office,” just set up another picture at Columbia, selling their spec script “Bad Teacher” to the studio for Jimmy Miller to produce.
