I’m probably going to get some negative feedback from this (Based on Past experience) but I’m going to ask anyway since Search turned up Nothing and FAQ regarding the shop as nothing either.
I’m looking to buy a PKE Meter. Matty has it for $70.00 and GBFans shop has it for $89.99, but what I don’t know is the shipping cost. Matty maybe selling it cheeper but that won’t mean much if GBfan’s shipping cost is lower.
Any info is appreciated.
My cost for shipping from matty was $12.15. based on other purchases from the shop I would guess shipping will be pretty similar. The cheaper option is to buy directly from matty. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but the main reason the shop stocks them is matty won’t ship to certain countries and the shop does. If you are in the states matty is cheaper but will probably take a few more days to get.
Im From Canada so I imagine itll be a bit more than $12.15.
Well here’s the kicker - I had mine shipped from MattyCollector on their first run. I didnt get dinged with Customs duties or Taxes here in Canada.
To be honest; I would recommend just buying it from the Shop here. Spend the extra and you will never have an issue. Many people have had shipping issues and payment issues in the past with Matty Collector and Digital River (their fulfillment site). Besides, the extra few bucks AJ gets from that sale generally goes back into the store with parts and runs that will help the rest of the community.
I’ve ordered from both. Shop can take 2 to 3 weeks to get to u in Canada where matty takes like 4 days with DHL. I also didn’t get dinged with customs or taxes with the pke. Not sure why tho cuz I did with the wand and goggles. I’ve never had a problem ordering from either. Don’t forget currancy differences. Now I mite get haters for this but matty may be a lil cheaper and quicker for delivery for u to Canada. But it’s always great supporting the site by buying from the shop.
Generally the customs duties and taxes rule of thumb is any item under $100 going via postal or courier stream, isnt taxed or subjected to duties as a courtesy by officers. Meaning the should be but they don’t due to the sheer volume of processing required.

You can find out the cost of shipping by adding the item to your cart and starting the checkout procedure. The PKE Meter will likely cost more from GBFans due to the fact that the item itself is more expensive from us… but we pay full price for the PKEs from Matty, so that is to be expected.
The PKE ships via USPS Priority Mail. Delivery is typically about a week. First Class would be 2 weeks typically.
FYI I believe Matty dropped the price around Xmas on pke. I’d go with AJ on this one because it helps this community and it’ll be quicker. He’s never steered me wrong and I was a part of the botched pre-ordered elbow pads; AJ went out of his way to over deliver on a mistake by the manufacturer. It was truly awesome.
I ordered a pke on Black Friday from Matty and it took about 21 days within the States. (Read what you will due to Black Friday) Shipping was around $16 US.
It was my first and most likely last Matty order.
