Something else weird about the courtoom scene

Other then Winston being cut out of the bust, something else struck me as weird looking while watching GBII.

The part where they are all laughing nervously and they cut to Egon it looks like a green screen job, like they didn’t have that shot and then added it later by putting Ramis in front of a green screen using a static background.

I could be crazy and I don’t have a way to capture screen shots but if anybody has the means, lets discuss.

Rumor has it that the judge was really bashing the guy and Winston stood up and started screaming at the judge saying he had his facts wrong and then the judge had Winston thrown out of the courtroom right in contempt before the bust happened. So Winston was in a cell when the bust has happening

Interesting, where’d you hear/read about that, Griff?

I think that bit is just your imagination. Egon is facing the other way so there’s that different look behind him. He’s just awkwardly standing still as only Egon can too.

that’s weird cuz u don’t even see winston in the courtroom scene.. not that i remember before or after the bust.

he’s there at the beginning…

“Sounds like a pretty open minded guy”

and sitting behind the guys briefly in a couple shots.

I have read GB 2 the book twice and it is has alot of things in it that are not in the movie(basicly deleted scenes) and winston is not in the bust. He does the same thing he does in the movie the just talks a little more. Great book!

Ray your’e going to kill somone! No! I’ll kill everyone!

winston wasn’t involved because it was only egon, ray & peter who were arrested when digging up the road. In the courtroom it is only the 3 who are in question. They also state in the courtroom that the proton packs on the desk on view were the equipment taken from ray/peter/egons car. As there was no winston that night there were only three packs. If you count them on the desk there is three. So it was impossible for winston to be involved in the bust.

One question I do have though; when they’re testing the slime in the toaster, we see a slime blower in the scene! Is this misplaced in that scene? I mean, at that point in time.. What could they possibly want with that slimeblower. A movie mistake?

I think once Ray and Egon knew the properties and potential of the slime, they quickly started building something they thought might be useful in slime situations. :whatever:

Lol super-duper quick.

See: Restoration of 21-foot long Cadillac.

See building a small Nuclear Particle Accelerator.

The cadillac is still more daunting. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think it would’ve been impossible for Winston to not be involved. He was in the courtroom, and he’d obviously want to help his friends. I see no reason that if Peter, Ray, and Egon had packs, why Winston couldn’t have been the one to throw the trap. May have been more exciting to have all three guys trying to hit the scoleris. It would’ve made the after-bust “we’re back” scene better too, having Winston there holding the trap instead of cheesy Louis. He should have been off to the side trying to get some ecto plasm off his suit or something.
