I have a 7 watt Cana kit amp attached to a crix soundboard. When I turn the volume up, about half way it really distorts. I’m using a 35 watt 5 inch speaker. From the crix soundboard to the amp I have the negative wired to the G on the amp, and the positive wired to the IN slot. Any suggestions?
I’ve had mixed experiences with his equipment, same goes for a couple of guys in my group. I tried fixing my sound distortion a few times, and finally just gave up and eventually built a new pack. My sound distorts for all sounds (despite Spongeface’s ground loop isolator board), and now certain sounds have become muffled. I hooked his sound board up to a Lepai 20w amp and it sounds better, but I don’t plan on switching out amps on this particular pack.
I would highly recomend trying his board with a Lepai 20w amp if you ever hope to fix the distortion issue.
