I’m trying to install a toggle switch in my spirit pack but I’m having issues with it. I can switch it to the on position and it will turn on but when I switch it to the off position it says on. The only way is if I switch it back to the on position.
So it goes On - On Off - still on back to On finally goes off.
Any help would be great. I may be missing something.

Did you accidentally pick up a 3 position switch? 3 position has on-off-on. I could see if you pushed down too hard to turn it off accidentally hitting on again then pushing it back up to center for off.
No. It’s a 2 position. Just on and off.
Can you post a photo of the setup? That might help give a better idea of what could be causing the issue.
sadly im at work at the moment so i would be able to send a picture till i get home this afternoon.
what i did is was take the 2 wires coming from the switch and used some electrical tape and taped them directly to the red and black wires. One wire to the black and the other to the red.
I want to put switches in my spirit pack wand but so far the only ones i can find are to big. The smaller switches on the shop would they be able to work if i was to wire them directly into the existing wires in the wand? Cut off the ends and just hard wire them in?

So little by little ive been modding my spirit pack to look more like the movie. I still have alot left to do by i just wanted to show off my progress so far and see what everyone thought.

Ah, sorry, I should’ve been a bit more specific, would you be able to take a photo where we can see the wire contacts on the switch?
The wire contacts are just 2 wires running from the switch.
I had one wire connected to the red wires the the other to the black wire.
