Starting my RGB proton pack* NEW finished pics added!

Just in the mock up stage right now using foamboard. I’m going to do some of the parts in 1/4" MDF when I get the sizes right. I will most likely do the bumper in aluminum and probably the motherboard too.

Parts are just laying about.

Nice! What did you use for the bubble in the top box?

Hint:You know those gumball machines you see inside the front doors at Walmart?

Lookin’ good! Can’t wait to see it finished!

Can you put the meausrements down, maybe a set a plans can be made from your foam board one so we all can try a hand at it, very nice by the way!!

looks good

What kind of foam board did you use?

Its the foam poster board you get at craft stores, 1/4" thick, cuts with a razor knife. I will be using 1/4" MDF wood for the final pack, it’s a bit heavier but far more durable. I will also post some measurements when i’m done.

Here it is!

Still have a couple things to add, half paint the bubble, add the box with the rocker switches and domed lights on the bottom left. The cyclotron does light up and cycle but it does not come out in the pictures.

dude i dont know why people havent wrote anything.!!! you rock man great stuff. im proud! RGB!!! W00T W00T

That was fast work! and a great job too!

Cool is a lackluster word.

I really vibe off the RGB packs. I haven’t decided, personally, which one I want to create. I’m leaning more and more towards a RGB one because of how neat they keep coming out in this fourm. This one rocked. Good work, man.

Looks really good man

Did you attempt to hang the gun from the pack? I was wondering how that board holds up with the guns weight hanging.

Oh and where did you find that switch for the gun?

Awesome! i mean i’m literally in awe! you’re a fast worker, and the weathered look really finishes it off.

Actually, all the foamboard was swapped out for 1/4" MDF wood for strength. Where the gun will mount is 1/2" thich so no problems with strength. There are access panels on either side to get at the lights and by removing the bumper (which is attached to the cyclotron) you can gain access to the electronics there. Batteries(9v) will be mounted on the back of the motherboard with a toggle switch. The switch on the gun is homemade from wood and is non-functional.

Your not selling this on ebay by any chance are you…

not that i want to swoop in and take it off your hands but i think i just saw it up there. :?:

The pack looks amazing. If I wasn’t still broke from buying my costume and building my movie style pack I’d start an RGB pack, they’re looking so good.

I’m not at liberty to say

how come your selling it so fast? and without the changes you said ou needed to make, it looks nice and all but wow…why not keep it alittle longer and apperciate the work you put into it?

Fixing this comment per forum etiquette, sorry guys, just found out that what mentioned was a sensitive subject on here, I’m not a prop noob, but I am a GBprops.com noob.

Awesome! Simply awesome! If I didnt already start me second movie pack, I would be making one myself.

I truly look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

And Lucas2600b and The Wug… smacks both of you… Take any buying/selling talk to PM!
