Stay Puft Halloween Costume

I am, by no means, a seaster. I barely know how to use a sewing machine. So, when critiquing this, keep 2 things in mind: 1) I meant it for a fun Halloween costume, not an accurate movie prop, and 2) I put a lot of hard work into it, and while people may be able to a lot better job with their eyes closed, this is the best I could do.

It’s made of cotton material and cotton batting I picked up at Wal Mart. Total time spent on it is around 40 hours (again, I’m not good on a sewing machine). I didn’t do legs. I don’t really need them. I did win 1st place at a costume contest a couple years ago at a local Sports Bar and Grill, and last year I got 1st place at a casino costume contest. I also entered it at my Amtgard A&S competition and got a pretty high score. I called it a “Confectionary Elemental” lol.

That looks awesome! I would have given you first place! Do you still have it?

That’s good! It’s even better when we find out you didn’t have a background making costumes for theater or whatever.

Pretty sweet! There’s someone attempting it in the Fan props area of the site as well.

I won a hundred smackers and first place. And yes, I still have it. Since I have no chance of having a full Buster ensamble by Halloween, I’ll be Gozer again this year hehe.

Fan props… crap. I probably should’ve scoured the site a bit more before posting here. sigh I’ll get it right eventually. Sorry, guys.

I just meant someone else has been working on one too! :boogieman:

It’s more than paid for itself then!

Sadly, it wasn’t cash :frowning: It was a gift card for the restaurant. That’s a lot of cheeseburgers…

That came out AWESOME!!! even with your poor knowledge as a seaster, I really like it!

I wish you did it for the legs too. That would have been complete.

GOOD JOB! CONGRATZ!
