About the same time I arrived on this forum another member was able to buy his own Stay Puft Marshmellow Man that was 21 foot tall. I thought, “How cool is that, I need one”. Within a few weeks I had found the company who supplied Sony with the originals for the promotional tour of Ghostbusters - The Video Game.
That company was Boulder Blimp, Advertising Inflatable | Promotional Inflatables | Balloon Advertising
With in a few short emails with Boulder Blimp I was informed that they couldn’t sell one to me. It had to do with they didn’t want to violate a contract with a very large client for a single order. I can respect that, they have to make money and stay in business.
Then I took a job overseas which left me a lot of time on my hands…time to look and make plans, and that is when I found Anka Inflatables. The contact I had there, Edith, was completely helpful in every way. I was not only presented with the 21 footer they also made several different models; the 30 footer, the 21 footer, an 8 footer that moved (don’t ask me how, I never did), and finally a 30 footer made for high winds. I was a bit overwhelmed, but not deterred.
It only took two weeks of emails to hammer out the details and payment to get things started.
Since I was still outside the country I couldn’t make this thread for a long time. In fact it has taken a year to get to this point.
So with out further delay…
The 21 Foot 121 Pound Monster
The Stay Puft Marsh Mellow Man.
Now, at the bottom of each of his feet are these velcro sealed zippers. These are used to help vent all the air out of “The Big Guy” when it’s time to put him away.
There is also a third zipper in the middle of his back behind the blue section.
His Angry Face.
The Transit case. It’s actually very nice. I recently upgraded it to add locking hardware so that he can be shipped should I ever find a need to do so.
This is his blower. It is always on when he is in use, otherwise he would just collapse under his own weight.
I even had friends donate the Hazard Rope to me for his tie downs, how cool is that
And a final image for all of you. When I was overseas I was not able to receive this, so I had him shipped to my good friend TheRoachOnTwelve. In turn he got the team together and had these taken.
