Stuck on a helmet design

Ok so this is something I’ve been working on the past few days. It’s a Halo 4 Locus Helmet. Now this is where I need help. First not sure what kind of hinges would be best for this plan, but I figure that the hinges would work best where the white stripes end on the top of the helmet. Not in the center.

Second I’m planning to use neodymium magnets to secure the jaw section and lock it to the face section of the helmet as well. Now my plan is to install a LCD backup style camera system inside the front of the helmet with a pinhole camera so I can see in front of me by looking at the screen. Will the magnets cause a bad effect with the LCD screen or will I need to find another type of screen? Here’s some photos.

The magnets shouldn’t effect the screen. The problem you’ll have though is focusing on the screen that close. You may want to use a pair of video goggles instead. If you ignore the fact that it’s a furry costume this vid has some good info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brhrI_XNDnM

The problem with just looking at a single screen is that you won’t have any depth perception, since it’s mono and not stereo. The guy that Jack links to above has a site with additional information on his methodology. You have to hack some stuff together, but it would probably be easier to wear around in the long run.
