Anybody else have the GB 1-2 logo tattoo?? My uncle paid for me to get the GB-1 logo done on my birthday last aug!! Alas i don’t have a cam yet but pics will be posted as soon as I can!!!
I don’t have a logo tatoo (yet…thinking about it), but I have a tatoo of SLIMER on my right bicep. I just got it a couple months ago. It’s a bit faded right now, so I’m going to wait til I get mid tour leave (I’m in Iraq right now) and have it touched up before I post a picture of it!
Thats awesome dude. I’m a wrestler on the indy circut following a dream trying to make it to the WWE and im also working on my next pair of tights. They are either going to be lime green with my logo on it or Black with slimer on one side of my thigh!!
I got a buncha tattoos and I’m seriously thinking about getting both logos on my hip below my waist. Although there is some resistance from the “girlfriend”.
I got the GB 1 logo on my right shoulder. The artist that did mine was freaking awesome,he grew up with 2 of the guys off Miami Ink,and he worked for them for a short while before he moved to my home town.
Ghosthead7 where you from?I was an indy wrestler as well.Oh and not to burst your dreams,if you are older than 20 forget getting into the WWE.Those younger guys have been in contract with Vince since they were 18.They may not have been on WWE shows, but they were under contract with them. They wrestled at Ohio Valley Wrestling, and on dark matches.
I started wrestling at 15 doing backyard wrestling. When I turned 17 I met Dory Funk Jr,Terry Funk’s brother. He trained me for free because I knew some really old wrestlers.I’m friend’s with someone who is related to Raven.
I had a chance to wrestle with Hulk Hogan when I did a show in Tampa.BTW I’m from Florida.
Didn’t mean to take over someone elses thread, just wanted to share a lil info about myself.I no longer wrestle due to a serious knee injury I had.But I was thinking about starting again till I had 300lbs of metal fall on me and crush the crap out my right shoulder.
Again sorry for hijacking the thread there for a min.
haha no worried, Im in baltimore maryland and i signed up at bonebreakers back in 2002. I was trained by danny McDevitt who was Corpral Punishment in ECW and i also wrestled and beat Joey Matthewes (now known as Joey Mercury) In his last match before he went to WWE
Sweet. My gimmick name was Vandall X,then I was Venom, and then I made my way back to Vandall X as a face.
There is a huge fan following for indy wrestlers here in Fl.So it was fun while it lasted.
I’ve seen a few GB tatoos out there and they all look horrible. If you’re going to do it, pay the extra bucks for a REALLY REALLY good artist
yeah mine did an EXCELLENT job, instead of filling in the white for the ghost (because i would have to get it touched up every 3 months because of the white color fades really quick), he did this kick ass shadowing of the ghost and it looks badass, pics comming soon hopefully ![]()
Here’s mine! Only cost me $30!
Agreed find and artist that can apply white, it’s a tricky color to do but the right artist can get it to stick quite well…
There is no reason you should need to get a tattoo touched up every three months, the pigments used today (if they are top quality) are so far advanced that if applied and healed correctly they should last many, many years… The problem as I hinted at above is that white is a hard color to stick correctly, and bad application equals poor lasting time… The white pigments today should last many years, unlike they used to…
BTW I am the “Do everything no one else wants to do…” guy at my brothers tattoo shop… I handle everything except tattooing (I leave that to the pros) so I have a vast amount of experience when it comes to tattoos ![]()
A
here is a pic of some one with a gb2 tat
Exoray can set me straight if I’m wrong, but inks will tend to slightly “bleed” into untattoo’d surrounding tissue over time, so filling in the ghost with white is pretty important to keeping the small details, like the eyes, from blurring.
Not if properly applied and cared for… The bleeding (correct term is blow-out) is caused by putting the ink too deep, as in just below the skin layer into the fatty tissue… The ink bleeds when it’s applied into this fatty tissue… It can also be caused if in the first few days you subject the skin to stretching/bending or pressure (rubbing) while the skin is still unhealed… Think of a tattoo as a wet painting, best to lay if flat until it drys if you bend, wrinkle rub it you know what happens…
Blow out is an application mistake, thin skin like the hand, neck and “privates” are harder areas to tattoo and you will see more blow outs in these areas… It should not be a problem for an experienced artist that knows what he is doing…
Old tattoos bled because they actually used “ink” todays tattoos use “pigments” Pigments are solid particles suspended in a carrier liquid, unlike ink that is dye dissolved in a liquid…
Anyway the reason I suggest doing white, is simple it is white why not make it white… From my stand point leaving white areas of art natural flesh looks unfinished… That is just an opinion though, you are the owner of your body and what every you like and enjoy is what is right…
