Not too shabby! I’m making mine in a similar way, but instead printing it on 1/16" RC Posterboard. I used this method for my GB1 gizmo, and it worked out well.
This whole project has been rather amusing, though, carefully replicating those awful GB2 circuit boards. Once again the fan-made versions will be miles better than the real thing. :sigh:
In case anyone’s worried about size and scale, here’s an overlay of my template with Dan Aykroyd’s screen-used GB2 Belt Gizmo (which is slightly different than Ernie Hudson’s belt in terms of the lines). These boards are noticably shorter than the original Sanyo boards used in GB1.
Here are a few of the GB2 Belt Gizmo templates that I printed off the other day. If there’s any interest, I may do a run of these…
Did some work today on my gizmo. Its not done yet but I made a bit of progress. Let me know what you guys think. I am pretty new to this prop making thing.

Not bad; the main board still needs a few more details, though.

There should be at least nine “nixies” as well as the error box (which is raised about about 3/4"). Both the Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd belts are missing the left-most tube. If you look at some HD screen-caps, you can see that there are nine faux nixie tubes.

Beneath each “nixie tube” (which is just rainbow ribbon cable inserted into clear tubing with electrical tape along the top) is a 14mm disc capacitor (as seen on the original Sanyo boards).

There’s a short length of red coiled wire running from the top left of the blue box to the bottom right of the red box.

What size did you print the board out at? It looks a tad too small. Ideally the board snugs into the inside of the tape measure holder, allowing the gold edge connectors to stick out past the bottom.
Note the nine faux nixie tubes and disc capacitors.
All in all pretty good; any plans on doing a GB2 belt to go with your Gizmo?
I see now about the 9 nixies. I was going off the pictures of Winston’s gizmo. In the pictures of that gizmo I couldn’t see the capacitors, but they can be added easily. I do plan on adding the red coiled wire but didn’t have anything to use on hand for that. My board is 4 7/8" X 3 7/8". It fit really well in the tape holder until I added the 3 red wire on the side, I think they are to thick. I will most likely replace them and the black box they go into, that was just a quick mock up on that part.
As for doing a complete GB2 belt. Probably not. I saw this thread, liked your template, and thought I’d give it a try. I mostly wanted to see what it would look like if I cut the template out with my vinyl plotter instead of printing the whole card out. After I finish it and make a daughter board I may throw it up in the for sale section or maybe I’ll just hold on to it to display in my home office.
What are the measurements of a daughter board? I looks about 3" tall X maybe 2" wide…
The daughter board appears to be about 2.25" tall by 1 3/4" wide.
Ok so I have made a daughter board. I guess-timated the size from the picture of Ernie Hudson’s GB2 belt. I drew out the new circuit first and then transferred it to my sign making software. I didn’t want just a black board with resistors like what was in the movie. I think it looks more authentic now and they really look like a pair. The only thing I don’t have yet is the orange/red coil wire for both the mobo and daughter board.

This is still a work in progress. I may be replacing my nixies and doing a little more changing.

I think this was meant to be a replica of the first movie 11 tube boards, they seem to have the squarish box to the right.
