The missing scenes

Does any one have the missing scene at fort whatever aka the ray dream scene or the tripod trap scene in number 2 and the slimer being hunted by lewis scene

It’s not in existence, as far as I’ve heard.

Would be interesting to see, though.

the fort scene is on the laser disk verson of the movie

as far as I know, I don’t think it is. Someone would have been likely generous and technologically advanced enough to share with us pics/audio/video(other than the few pictures of it that are out there) The laserdisc DOES have the scene where the guys discuss the Nobel Prize though. That scene is not on the DVD releases. Spook Central has a sound clip of it! Also a few pics including the worker scraping their names off the door.

Yes… whoever has the laserdisc and a youtube account is totally holding out on us.

heres the wikipedia quote:

The following scenes do not appear on the DVD, but are on the Criterion LaserDisc edition of the film.

  • A deleted segment showing the Ghostbusters descending the interior steps of Weaver Hall to their department offices, discussing winning the Nobel Prize.

  • A deleted sequence set at fictional Fort Detmerring outside of New York, where Ray has a ghostly encounter. (A small section of this scene appears in the finished film as the ‘Ray Dream Sequence’ in the first montage.)

  • A deleted scene where Louis (during his possession) encounters a group of muggers in a tunnel in Central Park.

Once again, the extreme unreliability of Wikipedia is exposed…

true but you need something to hope for.

I think that is refering to the deleted scene on the dvd where Louis runs past the two homless guys after fleeing his apartment. The two homeless guys are played by Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

there was another scene it’s talking about with the muggers. It’s in Making Ghostbusters. There is a bit of the scene storyboarded with John Candy and they even shot it(with Moranis of course) Basically as the Keymaster, the two tough looking guys stop him. I forget all the dialogue but Louis repeats “Do you bar my way?” and he’s supposed to open his mouth and some weird heat thing or some type of thing happens to the guys. I forget the specifics.

I’m fairly certain it’s not on the laser disc either.

And, for that, I apologize. Although, I don’t actually have the laserdisc. I have a VHS copy of the laserdisc and the quality is kind of low.

But…

Click here for the infamous Nobel Prize Scene!!!

And, by the way, unless it was omitted from my copy, the Fort Detmerring scene was not on the laserdisc. I would love to see that one.

Awesome.

well atleast that answers the part of the question of who built what…spengler and stantz designed and built and venkman just introduced them to each other…wow
