yeah probably just they had to do something and since they the painting being a big deal throughout the whole movie. 
Well i always saw it in 2 ways the first was with the “GOOD” mood slime being put all over the painting it was like all the good slime made something good out of it 
the second would be after saveing th e world it was a sing from god as in saying thanks or something,i don’t know lol

The only thing I find funny about the whole painting is that they are all ripped.
