I was able to notice the difference in the game previews, but where can we get our grubby hands on that version of the song? It sounds like the music and the girls saying “Ghostbusters” are the same, but Ray Parker Jr.'s lyrics were all re-done. Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee, I need, I need!

He could be right! I didn’t notice any lyrical differences but in one of the trailers it does sound like he re recorded it recently! His voice totally sounds like it did in the 118 comercial.
For all we know it could be the new version he talked about working on for GB 3!
It’s most definitely different from the 1984 version.
Its definitely rerecorded. RPJ even said so in an interview. But the lyrics certainly have not changed.
It is most noticable in this preview, if you know the song well enough, you can hear the difference.

agreed- defintely not the same vocally, and it makes me wonder what else would be new in the song. So if you find it, let us know! I’m excited about the update, honestly.
