The Proton Pack Back Pack

For nerds everywhere

I am definitely getting one!

haha… NICE!

It’s about TIME someone came out with these! I’m getting one, most definately.

Pppffffttt… That’s not screen accurate at ALL. When will these prop companies learn to turn an eye towards DETAIL?! :stuck_out_tongue:

Why now? Why not when I was in elementary school :frowning: Lucky kids these days

That’s awesome. I’ll definitely be getting one.

There was a backpack from RGB, but it only bared a passing resemblance to the proton pack:

I had that RGB one when I was really young - though I have no idea if I still do or not. Gotta admit - even though my first born is still on the way, I’m considering picking up one of these new ones for him.

I’m so getting this! Is the wand a pencil holder or something?

probably an umbrella holder.

Got to get it. too cool to pass up

Is it the same image printed on both sides of the “wand”?

The multiple angle pics show that it is. Not that I’m complaining. DO WANT.

I am so getting one (maybe I can convince someone in the family to make it a really early birthday present).

I remember a kid I went to kindergarten with had one of those RGB backpacks - I was so jealous, so it would be cool to finally have one.

Here’s what I dislike about it though…

I don’t like the khaki color of the regular pack. I know they were going for the flightsuit color, but I think a flat gray or something would’ve looked much better in this context. Also, while I appreciate them incorporating the proton gun into the piece, I think that it just looks too dorky, especially with the loose, floppy cord connecting it to the cyclotron. I feel like it would’ve been better to simply have more prints on the sides and top of the pack - which would make it more detailed, plus you’d still get to see the gun. ORRR… they simply could have made the gun part a smaller, permanent compartment on the top right - just wide enough to fit a water bottle or something into. …Lastly, I really don’t like the straps on this thing, they’re too modern and sporty I think. The straps on my backpack - aside from being camo, with black webbing - are not too unlike the alice frame straps; they even include a waist belt. I think the makers of the pack should’ve tried something more like that.

Aside from my nitpicky criticism however, this is a pretty sweet piece of merchandise.

EDIT: Okay, I have NOOOOO idea how this got double posted…

I plan on getting one myself as soon as it comes out. First I want to get the Mattel 6inch Peter Venkman and more of the current series of minimates. I just hope that I can find a job soon ,so that I have enough money for all this*

  • I left my old job because I did not like the long hours.

I had one of the RGB plastic lunchboxes with the matching Thermos. I think it was a dark blue lunchbox, basically with a large sticker on the front. I wish I still had it

Just googled it and found it…

Yep, I had, and stil have, that same lunchbox. Same sticker too, except my box is orange. I think I took it to school like once, and then just used it to store action figures (GB’s mostly).

That’s the same style lunchbox used in the film Superbad.

Ha, I have that very lunchbox. Only mine has a white thermos with the blue lid.
