The Real Ghostbusters Music

I was just watching one of the new RGB dvds and realized some of the songs used in the cartoon are pretty cool. Not cool in a “I want to listen to this every day” kinda way, but a “damn the 80’s were great” kinda way.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else digs some of the songs used in The Real Ghostbusters?

I liked the one they kept playing in the ep ‘When halloween was forever’ it was pretty good.

 It’s funny you should mention “When Halloween was Forever.” That was the first episode that made me notice the music… The one I watched today was the Sandman episode.

They’re on a site, ill find the link …

there ya go, I Love

‘drivin’ me crazy’

‘the boogey man’

and best of all ‘hometown hero’

also The Incidental background music is awesome, like at the end of cry uncle also at the very beggining of Adventures in slime and space

Hey Kenji!

That’s great! Thanks! :o

thanks Kenji!! Thanks!! I’ve been looking for them for like 15years!!!

Thanks!!Thanks!!Thanks!!Thanks!!Thanks!!Thanks!!

Sense we’re on the topic, does anyone know where there is an mp3 of The Real Ghostbusters theme song?

I always found to frequent use of “Blow the Man Down” sorta…unususal, lol.

LOL I was watching an episode with a friend last night and we made the same comment. Was Slimer an old seafaring man at one point in his past? JK

Another song I kind of liked (and was used quite frequently), sounded like a “big band song” of like the 20’s or 30’s. It was mainly featured in the episode “Play Those Rag Time Blues.”

Now that I think about it, it almost sounds like “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

I’ll agree, an unusual choice for instrumental music…

It is indeed ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’, I also loved the 50s sounding music from that episode.

Only version at the moment is a direct lift from the cartoon… although, some people have had mild success in trying to piece a full version together with the stuff played on the show.

Does anyone know how to download these in mp3 format? For some reason when ever I download them, it will only come through in a quicktime.

Or does someone know where else these songs might exist for download? Along with the theme from RGB (even if it’s just a recording from the opening sequence)?

I’ve done a few searches with no success.

my friend all you need do is right click and save as or if they have changed that please disregard this post and try not to call me an a$$h0l3

Allow me to kneel before you and call myself the a$$hol3.

Why I did not try that in the first place I’ll never know. :x

Originally, when I clicked on the song it automatically opened up in windows media player and gave me the option to burn it. But then, for whatever reason (it didn’t matter which computer I was on), it would only open as a quick time with no options to save the file.

chaoslatern, thank you for bringing the obvious to my attention.

Now, does any one know about the RGB theme?

I have a completely clean and clear version of the cartoon theme, with no sound effects or anything of the sort. We are using it for an upcoming project. I can’t remember where I got it from, but if anyone wants it, I will post it up.

Yes! Please do! :o I will be forever greatful.

If it’s the version pulled from the recent film DVDs which had the episodes on, then it’s a slow tempo incomplete version of the theme…

Nope, this is Real Ghostbusters regular intro, just like the cartoons, but with no sound effects. It goes until the chime at the end where “The Real” came up on the cartoons. I also have the slower tempo one, but this one is 100% right with no sound effects added on.

I’d really like to have them both. PULLEEZE!!!

Sorry it took me so long to upload it, I got preoccupied with a couple of other things.

This is the RGB Cartoon Intro Theme, with no sound effects, at normal speed. I can’t give credit because I have no idea where I got it, and I didn’t make it. Oh well. Enjoy!
