The Real Second Life Ghostbusters - Test Footage

I have signed up to a free service called WeGame and have tried it out recording some footage of me and fellow TRSL Ghostbusters doing some busts.

I’m impressed so far. Could very well have some proper Machinima made up some point in the future.

This first video is of my avatar, Doctor Rae and co-buster Cory Trafalgar driving down the streets of Metrotopia in my Ecto-1 stopping off at the Dojo building to take down a slimer.

This second video is again me, Cory and this time Eragon Fisseux joining us to take down two Class 5’s in an Abandond School.

Please feel free to comment on the vids as I am curious to know if others think this WeGame is suitable for video capture.

If you are interested in joining us in Second Life then IM me in the program.

The Proton Packs mare made by Dazzo Street and can be purchased at Xstreet at the following link:

The high prim Ecto-1 I was driving in the first video can also be found at XStreet:

The Ecto-1 Cory drives in the second video is also on XStreet. It has lower prims than mine (ie less detailed) but is fully sculptured rather than having to wear car parts as clothing like mine.

Thats actually pretty danm cool man,. Had you done this before the nwe game came out I’d say it’s right up there with that 3d ghostbusters demo that came out some time ago. Kudos.

Unless I am wrong about this (due to clearly needing sleep :-/) but I get the impression that you think I put everything in the game together.

If that is not the case and I am mis-reading you, I apologize and I really need sleep!

If that is the correct assumption however, I guess I should point out that the only thing that is my work here is the video recording using the WeGame system just to see how it turned out.

Everything else is other people’s work. I made the links in my original post to where the pack and the Ecto-1’s come from and if they are bought for use in Second Life, the money goes to the original creators.

However I have found out recntly that Dazzo Street’s Proton Pack is no longer available for purchase and I am waiting a response as to the reasons why, as potential new group members are keen to grab it themselves.

I would credit the builder of the school and the island owner but I am still waiting on a reply as to who that person is still as I have only met other regular visitors of the island but no one tied with group that created it.

Hey are “The Real Second Life Ghostbusters” still around? There is now a sim dedicated to everything GB in Second Life called “Slime Square.” It has tons of stuff from both movies and both cartoon series (TRGB and EGB), and several lines of GB uniforms and equipment for sale that are used for a sim-wide ghost hunt game and role play. It has even been covered by GhostbustersNews.com. We’d love to see The Real Second Life Ghostbusters come and join us there.

I did, that’s why I asked if they were still around. In the virtual world, even if this thread were only a few months old they could be long gone. lol

I didn’t check the last time the poster actually logged in here, tho…

I think I’m still a part of that group. Second Life was my thing for a good long time. I made some really good looking ectomobiles to drive around in, but once I started selling them I got a DMCA message from Sony. Yeah, that was a good time to stop selling that. lol.

I made a Stay Puft avatar that was pretty close to life size in game. That was a really good selling item.

Hmmmm… something tells me that’s the Stay Puft AV I have now. We also have a copy of it that hangs off the edge of the roof of 55 Central Park West.

I’ve seen you mention how much you’ve grown to hate SL in other posts. But, still, if you ever get a mind too, come visit us in Slime Square (sim name “Whateverburg”). We don’t have drama and politics there, just a lot of GB fun.
