So yes, I thought this to be quite amusing and thought I might share this with you fine folks.
Last night at about 12 or so my girlfreind drops by to pick me up (yes midnight) Anyway were hangin’ out, drivin’ around… the usual. We pull over into a nice cozy spot and I wont put details here. However I’m in my full suit, because she hadn’t seen it yet, and we aren’t gonna be with echother on halloween, so yeah she wanted to see it. So anyway… at about 4am or so, the windows are fogged up as can be and yeah it’s all suspicious lookin’… we suddenly see some lights stop behind us… and a spotlight hit the car… after a moment she gets out of the car, and I adjust my gear and follow. He’s asking her the usual “Everythin’ alright?” kinda questions, when I come around the corner in full ghostbusting gear (minus the pack) …I will never forget the look that cop gave me. He just stopped dead sentance and looked at me for a bit… after that he looked at her and said it was late, and we should get home, and left. I spent a good 20 minutes laughing… For the rest of that mans life he will never understand why a ghostbuster got out of that car. …I wish I could have had my trap smoking and said the classic “we came we saw, we kicked it’s ass!” Ahh that owulda been good…
Anyway, happy halloween fellow busters, this one is off for a bit of T and T
Heh.. my roommate was decked out in a 60’s Batman costume and got pulled over for driving with the mask on. He said he really wanted to tell the cop that Commissioner Gordon was gonna have his ass for it.
Reminds me of the episode of Drew Carey, when he wins the Batmobile and the police arrest him for “defacing” it with his girlfriend Nice story though Venkman!
I work at Blockbuster and wore my Ghostbuster 2 uniform for Halloween lastnight and for some reason people kept thinking i was there to repair things…they saw the trap and goggles on my belt “what do you do exactly?” my answer…“I put movies away and handle all of Blockbuster’s paranormal investigations and eliminations” then show them my patch and it hits 'em “OH!” just thought I’d share that.
That’s so friggin awesome… I wish I coulda done something cool like that…
Also, in response to the Batman mask post, the majority of the time, it’s illegal to walk around in a mask that conceals your identity at all. I probably has something to do with stickups and shootings, and all those wonderful crimes… At least that’s what I was told, anyway…
I’m not an expert on the American legal system… but I find it hard to believe that’s an actual crime.
I can agree that someone wearing a mask that obsctructs their identity is a source for suspician… but how can they hope to enforce it in light of Halloween and fancy dress parties if it’s a real law?
best I can add is at New York Subs a guy came up to me and said “hey man, when I saw you in line I thought, sheesh, he MUST be some kinda of exterminator, but what’s all that extra stuff on his belt for..then I saw your arm patch, and man I laughed…awesome costume!”
I’m not sure the mask itself is a crime, but it’s just what I was told earlier in life. I’m probably wrong. It’s definitely a bad idea… put it that way.
