A friend of mine and I were discussing what all it takes to build a nice pack, wand and he being an innovative type under the alfluence of inkahol came up with this. He asked why someone couldn’t take an old cell phone, carefully dismantle it, and wire it up as the display screen on the gun assembly. Further he said someone with some electronics skill could actually set it up to display what was in front of the gun by using the camera in the phone.

Like all ideas from newbies this one could be shot down pretty quick but if this CAN… be done what would it take? No time on this Halloween build but next year???

Thanks for any input on this and would a camera with night shot be kool or what?

Don’t do that.

That would look terrible. Not shooting down the newbie; everyone will agree - that would look awful.

It would take a degree in electrical engineering plus about 5-10 years experience and a decent electronics workshop.

I don’t understand. What would you use this display for? There aren’t any such displays on the proton gun, there is just a little light bar. Maybe a PKE, which would be even MORE difficult. Maybe get drunk and stare at a few prop pics and go from there instead of inventing new technology and making it harder on yourself… :wink:
