I am building this pack from a pchrisbosh1 shell (which i recommend highly) and it’s going slow so far, but Im taking my time and wanting to put a lot of extra effort into it.
I started off by trimming the shell and turning a few pieces for it.
Then I spent a fair amount of time studying the placement of the powercell window from the PH/Sony hero pack and came up with this.
So far Im very happy with the results. Next up will be getting the shell primered and deciding on using TC’s new gun kit or do another metal build. Torn on that one, but the new TC kit is a damn fine peice of work.
I have been collecting parts and making parts as I have had some free time.
Mounted the bumper and real bellow. The bellow isnt an exact match, but its close. I weathered it today a bit and Im going back and forth on painting the cap silver. Im fairly certain its getting painted. I am using Venky’s bumper.
Super happy about how it came out. I am going to add the domino dots to the cyclo rings next.
Next, I added a real gray knob that I had in the shop. Nothing spectacular here, but it’s a genuine part, so I like it.
The v hook was made by myself. I think its very close to a GB1 fit. What do you guys think about the placement?
Also, a buddy of mine hooked me up with something special for this build.
The clippard was mounted today, as well as the bumper, of course. I still need to swap out the bolts for accurate one, but I wanted to get a few parts in place. I will be ordering 1/8 plate soon to make all of the flat parts. First, I will be bending up an Ion arm for this beast out of 1/16th plate.
Yeah, It was made by pchrisbosh1. He spent a ton of time getting the details correct. Normally, Im not a fan of pre-textured shells, but he did a hell of a job on his.
I can’t agree more …one hell of a shell…Jim ,I know its been done before but can you explain the switches and connectors on the plate you got your hands on …it is such a nice accurate touch…Or at least direct me to the thread in which its explained…Its hard to search for something if you don’t know it’s proper name…
