I bought the complete set of DVDs from Time Life on or about May 24th 2012. The next month, I called Time Life and pointed out dubbing issues with specific episodes. A Time Life representative told me they would ship me Season 2 and Season 3. I had not made it through all of the episodes within 30 days of ordering or they would have likely told me they’d send me an ENTIRE new set. There are some really outstanding problems on every single season, but the dubbing errors should have been corrected. At any rate, I have received two letters from TIME LIFE, for each season promised to me, dated July 20th, 2012, that thank me for my order…
“Unfortunately this item has been discontinued, and we are completely out of stock. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience.”
It doesn’t look like any of the SEASONs can be purchased individually on their site. However, I would like to think that some of the errors I pointed out to Time Life are not duplicated on EVERY set.
I feel pretty lucky having gotten my box set when I did then. Sucks for anybody coming in late on the action. I’m sure Sony will redistribute another Real Ghostbusters down the line through Shout Factory when Ghostbusters nostalgia train leaves the station prior to the arrival of GB3 and the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 Blu-Ray box set hits and Ghostbusters 3D.
And I predict this with no hint of irony whatsoever.
Lets check in at around 2014 to see how close these predictions were … oh wait - the world would have ended by then. I guess we’ll never really know! 
I know walmart had season 1 for awhile, amazon too. too bad they are out of stock, I need a new steelbook case for volume 4, my dog dented it up last year by chewing on it.

I notice more things I would correct every time I watch my boxed set. Sadly, they are not all copying errors. I hope you’re happy with what you get because I don’t think many people will watch the entire set for a replacement using TIME LIFE’s “warranty” period.
@ joeghostbuster Can you order a steel case seperately? I only have VOLUME ONE in a steel case, but I think it has a website address to visit printed on it somewhere. Unfortunately, I’m on a public computer and not at home to check on that.
can you let me know? otherwise Im going to order some of the plastic blank 5-disc holder cases and print out labels and put all 5 volumes into them and put the steelbook cases in storage
I am happy with my set, I was kid when this cartoon was out so who knows bout dubbing and copying errors.

“Volume One,” “Volume Two,” etc. sold seperately have been discontinued. It’s confusing, I know. The complete set is available. You just won’t be able to get a replacement of individual “volumes.”
I’ve been typing “seasons” up until now which is not correct… it’s the same term this site uses… incorrect or the Ghostbusters wouldn’t say they’ve “never met Vampires before” when they had obviously already been to Lupusville. If it goes to Blu-ray, I’d like to edit it first! The colors on Peter’s uniform (and sometimes his hair) change to Egon’s, two characters say the same line, and funky things happen when they reuse images that makes characters look like they’re multicolored or dancing, at times. The Copying Errors I’ve refered to would be when one sees rainbows at the top and bottom of the screen, as if it were copied from Videotape. I have also noticed a horizontal bar that will “float” up the screen. I mentioned specific episodes and where these things happen to Time Life, which is why they said they would send me Volume 2 and Volume 3, before sending me two letters saying they were discontinued.

Well,I also feel very privileged or lucky if you will,I’m a UK RGB fan & I finally got my Time Life Complete Collection Boxset off Ebay back in October 2011 for about £110,bargain,I love the episode guide booklet,I’m rewatching the whole set from the beginning,just watched “X Mas Marks The Spot” last night,great holiday season episode & the Firehouse packaging looks great on my shelf,so yes,I’m really pleased to own a set,but as others have said it’s a shame for the people that are still trying to get their copy of it,RGB rocks,my fave 80’s cartoon of all time!
