I can’t decide on whether or not to buy a build or build my own proton pack, the electronics might be hard for me to install connect all the wiring from the thrower to the pack, how to install the light bulb on the thrower main body and the bulb on the front of the thrower. the other part will easy for me to do by just drilling holes on the shell for all the aluminum parts. How to program the sound. I am just looking to buy or build a basic GB1 pack.
Do it yourself. If I can get everyone who wants a pack to build one, I would. It is so rewarding to be able to say, “I did that”. With the wealth of information and builds (not to mention parts) available on the site, there is no reason not to build one. That and its a BLAST. If you get the GBFans light and sound kit, it is the easiest to use kit as most of it is plug and play. We are all here to help, so always always ask anything that pops in your head (as well as using the search feature!)
the only trouble i might have will be at the thrower front were the light bulb goes
Nah, super straight forward. I usually just glue the bulb into the barrel. Check out some builds (mine included) and they usually give you a good look on how the bulbs are placed
I agree…build it, but buy a light/sound kit (which is what I did)…unless you happen to be super into programming that sort of thing.
Who sells light/sound kit
GBFans shop as well as member Crix. The GBFans kits are all I have used, and they are plug and play.
pack amplified sound board the one i need to buy
Yep. Grab the pack lights, wand lights, both ribbon cables, the speaker, and battery too
does the wand lights come with all the lights i need for the thrower
Sure does. It has all the LEDs but you’ll need the Hat lights (which are just the covers) and either the white and red Arcoelectric lights (which you yank the bulbs out of and only use the covers of) or the lesser expensive LED cliplet covers. The Arco’s are screen accurate.
