TODAY's Al Roker visits the Ghostbusters set and interviews the cast and director

We’d seen photos pop up from Al Roker’s set tour a while back, but now the videos for the interview have been released.

There’s a couple of bits with McCarthy, Wiig, Jones and McKinnon and Feig, and also a smattering of behind the scenes shots during filming which some may wish to avoid for spoilers:

Go behind the scenes of the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot: From action to slime

Nice, they’re cute together. And I admit that “let’s go” joke is kinda growing on me, lol. It’s Marvel-esque humor, but that makes sense. They seem to be the only action/comedy movies doing well right now.

Was just coming here to post this. Some neat stuff for sure. You could see how they do the special effects lights with the wands as well. You can see the attachment that was spoken about by extras on set.

Yeah, I really like that bit. It’s sort of that awkward/social humor, which could really play well with the whole everday blue collar sci-fi approach. Boring everyday stuff mixed with the fantastical. Hopefully that’s the direction it’s going in.

The behind the scenes shot of McKinnon triumphantly raising the smoking trap above her head was pretty cool!

Good b-roll in those pieces… now all I want is more…

Cool, looks like some b-roll of the Mercado set, the Chinese restaurant office, and maybe one more.

70 flight suits made total? Wow!

Am I missing something? Where can I find that b-roll?

In both videos, its scattered b-roll between Roker scenes. They clearly filming in the Mercado lobby set…

Gotcha, I thought there was a third clip or something.

There is. E.T.'s Kevin Frazier did a set visit, too.

Awesome! Now I’m not getting any work done.

The only thing I got from those interviews is that the presenter is a big Ghostbusters fan and Paul Feig was bullied by boys when he was young so he spent more time with girls. Erm, that’s about it.

The interviews themselves were fluff but the big nugget of info is watching these Mercado scenes being filmed between Q&A and during.

In the ET one in particular, I laughed at the scenes with Frazier talking to the main 4. McCarthy and McKinnon were hilarious, imo. And the rendition they did at the end was awesome. You can’t deny they have chemistry.

Wow how nice that they did it. I can’t wait for the movie coming out.

Same here, I feel the movie needs the footage shown at cinemacon to be spread around though, as it helps set the tone for the movie and hopefully gives a better feel of the tone of GB16.
