UK alternative to Legris / SMC elbow

Since real Legris elbows are so hard to find I was considering using the SMC elbows that have been posted up elsewhere on this fourm. However the shipping costs from the US and even in the UK are ridiculous. So, I decided to try and find a a cheaper alternative and found these:

They’re cheap and IMO a good substitue for the real thing. Like the SMC elbows they have the plastic plug which can be removed and with a little grey paint will look great.

I recently bought some resin copied of the real Legris elbows from Propfan (Which are awesome btw and I highly recommend them). Here a comparison pic of my Ebay found elbows and the (partially painted) resin coipies.

I think that is what alot of us late comers will end up doing since the elbows are nearly impossible to find. What I wanna find is someone selling a shitty pack that has accurate parts I can cannibalize. For cheap of course.

If you live in the US, the SMC elbows are dirt cheap.

Just the shipping from the US to the UK has gotten absolutely ridiculous as of late…

Hmm, Sounds like SMC takes shipping prices from the Clippard site. I will always have a soft spot for UK proppers who are neglected by shipping costs from US companies. Thats why I did the Clippard valve deal. I sold all the ones I got, to people from the UK. I am thinking about doing this with the Rit Dye and now looks like the SMC elbows as well. Thanks for the tip!
