I am currently working on making a GB1 style uniform. It is about half way done. I started with a Carter Industries CWU-27/P flight suit that I won off eBay for 8 bucks.
I then got my custom name tag and no ghost patch from Katarra.

For the belt, I couldn’t find a replica of the M-1936, so I ended up getting an authentic WW2 belt. It’s in good shape for being 70 years old or so.

I’ll update as it progresses. Any tips or comments, leave a post for me. Thanks.
here is the leg hose drying from the dye job I did on sunday. it turned out pretty good
For the leg hose connector, I had to fabricate one since the store here was sold out. Luckily we had a wrecked bike come into the shop and one of the windshield brackets was pretty close if it was shaved down and drilled out. plus it was threaded so i could just screw the hose on with the matching piece.

on the right is the original piece and the left is when i got done cutting, sanding, drilling, and primering. its not perfect, but it’ll do for now.
the corresponding screw in plastic for the connector.

The connector after it was painted and sewn on.
I didn’t get any pictures of the before and after of the elbow pads, but the search i did here was spot on with info. And here is the complete package.

I’ll get some pics of how I made the belt gizmo up here soon. it looks vaguely like one, but for using spare parts, it’s not half bad. Plus I taught myself to solder so I could make it.; life skills through Ghostbusters.
I like your leg hose connector. Works great. Just to give it some dimension have you thought about, maybe, throwing a door stop around it.
I’m about where you are in making my costume, so its cool to see other’s progress in their uniforms. Nice job.
That’s not a bad idea. I was also toying with the idea of using some of that liquid grip you dip pliers into to coat the handles. i figure using a fine detail brush for several coats would give it more depth and a more accurate appearance.
Cool! let us know how that goes.
Now that you mention the liquid grip idea, I’m starting to get ideas on making my own MT5oo antenna.
