Me and a friend of mine are huge GB fans and dis the ghostbusters costumes for halloween this past year. We didn’t have Proton Packs, but we have made it our goal to have pack done by Halloween 2006. We are considering vacuforming our packs and are toying with the idea of possibly selling a few vacuformed packs (just the bodies).
Now no details have been solidified yet and we are still teaching ourselves how to vacuform, but there is a good chance this will happen and I was kind of curious what the demand might be for this. When you make your buck, make sure to make it 1/4" higher than the plans say. Example, the spacers is 2.75" thick you will want to make your buck 3" thick in order to accomodate for what you will have to trim off. If you just vaccumform a spacer that is 2.75" the end result after trimming will be 2.5" which is, inaccurate. If you are going to put the time, money and effort into it, might as well do it right.
Like I said no details have been finalized in anyway…but this is something that we are really interested in so I think it will happen and it should be high quality…I wouldn’t sell something that wasn’t high quality.
