So I know it’s months away, but I was curious if there is anything Ghostbusters or con related happening in the Uk over Christmas and the New Year in 2012. Or even if there are any good shops in London someone can recommend that might have Ghostbusters stuff. I’m from America but I like in Japan right now, so I’ve felt a lack of Ghosbusters merchandise I can buy and events I can go to. I’ve been to the UK once but I really want to visit again! I just thought it would be really fun to see if anything was happening.
Thanks a lot!
We have nothing planned at the moment, but if you remind me nearer the time, I’ll see what’s going on. As for merch, Forbidden Planet usually stocks GB stuff but it’s no different than what you can get online.
Sod it, even if nothing is on we might be able to arrange something lol
Awesome! Thanks
True, it might be just the stuff I can get ‘online’ but the shipping is killer!! I will definitely put up a reminder later! Man, I can’t wait for the New Year!!
Yep, there may be a chance of us doing the New Year Parade again, but if nothing happens, we can sort out another walkabout in London without any problems!
I would also love to know all about Japan, as I want to go there next year.
Were your visit scheduled for October, then undoubtedly there’d be Halloween, as well as the October edition of MCM Expo, which never fails to bring a few Ghostbusters out of the woodwork.
Yeah, unfortunately the only time I get off for two weeks is Christmas and New Years. I refuse to fly all that way for just a few days!
Shodanmark, around what time are you planning to visit and where? Japan really is an amazing place! I’ve only been living here for four months but I’ve really been enjoying myself.
A parade sounds fun! Makes me think of the Dragon Con parade, which is always a spectacular sight.
Was thinking Kyoto and Tokyo. I’ve been wanting to go for years!
Tokyo and Kyoto are great places! There’s a really cheap hostel in Tokyo called Sakura House. To me, it was just like staying at a hotel. Both cities are very beautiful and there is plenty of English to get around very easily. Also Osaka and Kobe are great places to check out.
You really should! Especially since the pound is STILL stronger than the yen. I can only think of going to the UK because the yen is so much stronger than the dollar right now and I’ve managed to find a good hostel in London.
Woot!
