What Games are You Playing Now?

Is this worth picking up?

If you like James Bond then yeah, it’s pretty cool. I was good friends a few with the folks at Bizarre Creations (before they got shut by Activision) so was lucky enough to get my copy for free (and Blur) but yeah, it’s one of the best bond games I’ve played in a long time!

I bet you’ll find it cheap now too!?

Thinking about picking up the BTTF Game and DC Universe Online for PS3. anyone played either and can give me an honest opinion?

I got sucked back into Pokemon this week. I got jealous of everyone talking about Black and White, so I restarted my Ruby.

I caught this jerkwad this morning and named him “METALGEAR”.

I’ve played the first two episodes of BTTF, and they’re not half bad! The puzzles were pretty easy, but the writing and acting is stupendous.

When I asked if Sanctum of Slime was available for the PS2, someone here on GBFans told me that PS2 was DOA. Think when I head to Laughlin on vacay in a couple of weeks, I’m going to head up to Gamestop and get an Xbox 360 or something.

Seconded - lots of fun just to re-enter the BTTF world. I’m bummed they didn’t get Tom Wilson to voice the various Tannen characters, though.

It’s been around for 11 years, and a consoles usual “shelf-life” is 10, it’s pushin’ daisies. Only thing keeping it alive, or rather, moderately afloat is the fact the PS3 can’t play PS2 games. I think maybe, MAYBE, three more (if that) games are out for it this year, compared to the 15-30 on the other systems.

Not to mention Sanctum of Slime is a downloadable, not retail.

Snaps fingers Dammit. Well, I need something better anyway. I’ve been sick of playing Tony Hawk Proskater 3 and Celebrity deathmatch. That’s old school. I need something…fresh and up-to-date.

If you are getting an Xbox 360 for long term play-time, I suggest the 250GB Slim model, it’s $299.99, but you won’t need to worry about Hard Drive space or Wi-Fi with it. Unfortunately Xbox Live does require a Subscription fee to download full games and play online with others.

But if a PS3 is looking more up your alley, get the 320GB Playstation Move Bundle for $369.99, not only does it come with a set of items valued at $100, you get plenty of Hard Drive space again, since with the Playstation 3, most (if not all) games have to be installed on the Hard Drive.

And in case if you’re wondering, yes, I work at Gamestop.

Thanks for the tip, SomeGuy. That’s good to know.

You don’t have to download the games onto the PS3 hard drive.

I would suggest the PS3 only if you don’t have a blu ray player yet. As an owner of all 3 systems, I would recommend the Xbox over the PS3 any day of the week. Other than when I watch a blu ray, all my PS3 does is collect dust. There’s a better selection of games on the 360 and the games that are release on both systems, 9 times out of 10 the 360 version is better. It usually has better frame rate, less screen tearing, and is visually better because the PS3 is difficult to program for.

My brother owns a PS3 and even though I got him a game, he uses it as a blu-ray player. But thank you, Daniel. I will keep that in mind.

No prob. I’m not ripping on the PS3, per se, I’m just saying that if I had to choose between one or the other I’d choose the 360 over the PS3. Now, if money weren’t an issue, I would get both. I myself have everything starting from the NES on up to today… except my Genesis and Sega CD… but that’s a whole nother story…

Smirks Like as EGM put it ‘A room of doom’? I’d have to win the lottery or wait for my rich uncle to kick the bucket. The stuff these gamers got don’t come cheap, friend.

You should milk your birthday and Christmas all you can. That’s when I ask for stuff I don’t want to pay for. Credit cards are a good option as well, so long as you can afford the payments. I prefer to pay cash for everything, it’s safer and you won’t have any creditors trying to rape you in the butt.

If you don’t have a Wii, Nintendo is supposeed to be announcing a price drop soon, followed by the possible announcement to the successor to the Wii.

Where the deuce is Daggett?

My brother has a Wii, too. Back in Christmas '09, I got him Ghostbusters the video game and the new Super Mario Bros. Wii.

We have both a Wii and a PS3.

Some games Teamhair and I complete together.. we just finshied resident Evil 5 co op (LOVE the co oop play in that!) and are working on Borderlands

Teamhair is working through Bayonetta and Epic Mickey, and just finished Darksiders.

I’m working through the Red Dead Redemption, and the WII Metroid Prime Trilogy, and just finished Metroid Prime.

I’m considering starting either Mass Effect II, or Crysis II… haven;t made up my mind yet.

We also stockpile games around christmas, and pick them up when we can snag good deals at Amazon, so we have enough unopened now to last use most of the year already.

I started Gran Turismo 5, but am considering ebaying it… I think I’m more of a action/arcade racer than a simulator racer.

I finally added a ps3 to my Mission Control Room.

Got a broken one from my next door neighbor. Her son broke it and had purchased a new one already.

After a new hard drive and reinstall of the OS, it came back to life. Had it for about 5 months.

Still haven’t played any games on it… There was a Madden 09 inside, anyone want it? I hate football.

But I’m playing some SegaCD games I just got a hold of. Silpheed, Final Fight CD and Bari-Arm. Other than that, I pop in Bad Company 2 multiplayer. Till BF3 comes out

That’s right!REAL MEN PLAY BAD COMPANY 2 I’m waiting for BF3 as well and GOW3.
