I know Multimedia Mayhem sells them. Does anyone else?
Also, I read a post a while back about some motherboards being sold on ebay which weren’t to spec. Does anyone know who made those, so I can avoid them?

There’s a UK-based member who also sells metal motherboards for about £30.
I believe the ‘off-spec’ motherboard in question was being offered by MidWestPropShop… there is a topic about that particular board in either the feedback or Proton Pack sections.
Why not just buy from Multimediamayhem?
I just want to know what my options are. Different sellers are in different locations, have different prices, different materials, and different levels of accuracy.
Buying from a seller in Canada for example, if you’re in the US, means having to deal with customs and higher shipping costs. Of course buying from the UK would be worse in that regard, so I wouldn’t do that.
As for materials, the board from the UK the other guy mentioned is probably the same as the one I saw on ebay which was made from a highly polished aluminum that wasn’t as likely to hold paint well as one with a duller finish.
You just answered your own questions
Shipping to US is $20 flat rate, customs isn’t usually an issue and my plates are run thru a time saver machine which gives them a great surface for paint. Not to mention mine are better priced and I’ve been selling on here for over two years. That should count for something.
Yeah, I noticed that finish on them.
I have nothing against your boards. The only reason I said other than MMM was because I knew that you’d be the first person anyone suggested. I just wanted to know if there were any other boards out there which came reccomended and which ones the community considered most accurate.
So when can I expect your order?
ghostguy, I HIGHLY recommend buying your motherboard from Irricanian. there is a reason everyone mentions his name first when people ask which Mboards are the best (it’s because his are the best). 100% accurate and a breeze to paint.
I take it this means you’re the only game in town huh? ![]()
Soon, I suppose. I was gonna make my motherboard out of MDF since the rest of my pack is wood, but I realised it was going to be much too flimsy. And I’d rather not attempt to cut one out myself… just drilling a hole in an aluminium knob got metal shavings everywhere.
I hadn’t really been paying attention to what motherboards people reccomend since I thought I was gonna cut mine outta wood until recently.
Vouch. I think it’s important to start with a solid base, and the MM board I ordered is fantastic.
On my first scratch build pack, i did my mobo from MDF, and i regret it. I will buy one from MMM in the future, is solid and really light weight,

I own a few of MMM pieces including his Mother Board, and I gotta say it’s Top Notch, fair price and superfast shipping.
Wow , I should do the commercial
MMM is definitely the way I plan to go. After reading up on this and other sites, and seeing pictures of his mobo I think it’s safe to say that there is nothing readily available right now that is even in the same league.
Both of my mo’boards are from MMM and like everything he sells, they are 1st class.
