You might want to modify that bottom part, but just make sure you hook the alice frame to it, and not try to rest the bottom of the pack on those two bars.
Also.. secure the middle of the alice frame to the stand so it does not tip off of there, or tilt forward.
Mine’s a wood based pack, so I could rest it on bare metal without worry, however this stand has pretty descent padding, so the bottom is pretty comfortably balanced.
I think putting the bottom of the alice frame on it would make for too shallow of an angle. I will take a few photos and experiment when I get the chance.
I bought one similar to this. It was useless. Get one with a neck support and FLAT guitar body supports. This one below is similar to mine and it’s perfect. The U part on the neck, stops the pack from slipping and moving around.
This is how I’ve got it; It sits really well and the top part for the guitar neck sits on top of the pack keeping it from falling over sideways. Nice and secure.
i got one from wal-mart. unfortunately it could hold the weight long and the wleds on the main bottom U broke. I re-welded it much stronger and shortened up the adjustable neck so it would go under to top part of the alice frame. Now its solid and holds it perfect
i got a cheap-o “planet rock” stand at my local music store. its great for taking pics with but when it’s not holding my pack, it’s holding my PRS Santana.
I like that the neck holder is telescoping, so I can put the pack in the bottom holders and tighten down the neck holder slight to hold it in place. In theory anyway
I never had any guitar stuff until the time I decided to build one for guitar hero. Now I own 5 guitars, one I paid for, others were donations or trade payment.
It’s funny. I actually hadn’t noticed that people were using guitar stands until a few weeks ago. My brother and best friend both used to play guitar, and I noticed the tell-tale orange rubber underneath someone’s pack.
