For those of you rushing into Halloween, this thing called Wonderflex might be able to do the trick.

While doing some research on insulation foam for my goggles I came across this site: http://www.costuming.org/wonderflex.htm It’s a FAQ about something called Wonderflex.

Wonderflex is a type of thermoplastic that is shaped with heat. Thermoplastic has been around for a long time, but unlike other forms of thermoplastic you don’t need to put this in your oven, and it doesn’t smell like burning DEATH when you work with it. (It’s non-toxic too, which cosplayers tend to ignore for their hobby, but is a nice side bonus anyway). It is also unique because, on the bias (diagonal line) it will stretch when heated, allowing full, round shapes and bell curves.

There are some amazing photos of what people can create with them. If you are in rush, or looking for a low budget option for your pack parts, stunt trap, Iona, etc… this can be of some help! They state that Wonderflex differs in price depending on whom you purchase from. A full sheet ranges from $27.50 to $50.00 US before shipping, but apparently it can be bought at Home Depot.

That DOES look like killer stuff.. but you misread.. it is not available from any local stores yet.

Also, one sheet 43x55 is $39.99 before shipping. Not cheap stuff at all.
