Ernie Hudson (“Oz,” Ghostbusters) has joined NBC’s “Heroes” in a recurring role, says The Hollywood Reporter.
He will play Captain Lubbock, a Baltimore detective. Lubbock is reportedly on the hunt for one of the other characters on the show.
Hudson has played a detective in a recurring role on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.” He also played a senior deputy on ABC’s dramedy “10-8: Officers on Duty.”
Even more reason to absolutely love Heroes

would be cool if they gave him the power to see aura’s like in the comics, the one where they can see the auras of the living and dead lol

series 1 is awesome so if you want to pick it up watch that first
series 2 suffered from the writers strike
series 3 was good, people and critics were down it, they went in expecting it to be ■■■■ like series 2 ended up and never gave it a chance.
It sucks that Ernie joins the cast now after I stopped giving a damn about that show. Season 1 drug on and was fairly anticlimactic. Season 2 sucked (the original storyline would’ve been better) Season 3 I stopped watching when the whole Mohinder/The Fly thing started.
It a damn shame. Why couldn’t Ernie have been on Supernatural?
it got better after the mid season break, almost a return to form of series 1
I disagree, Season 1 was long enough to depict the complex plot and twists, and to adequately portray the characters and their abilities.
Series 2 definitely wasn’t as good as 1, but considering it was the Writer’s strike, I felt they delt with it pretty well. Don’t know what the original storyline was meant to be.
Season 3 was good, maybe not Season 1 good but it had its own pretty interesting twists and characters.
I agree with you all on seasons 1 and 2.
Season 3 got good half way through when they fired the two writers that were screwing it all up.
My only fear is how quickly and brutally they kill off characters… I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t want to see Ernie slashed, hacked and slaughtered. 
Agree with you all. The last episode from last season was beyond expectation. Poor Nathan Petrelli. I don’t like it how they kill characters and recycle them into someone else:
Nathan Petrelli = Sylar
Niki Sanders = Tracy Strauss
Just kill them and leave them dead like Lost does.
i have some gripes about heroes.
season 1, there were these marks on parkman like injections or something that they kept making a big deal about, but then nothing. ever again.
killing ali larter was a good idea. kiling her prison boyfriend was a good idea. not killing their retarded son and making him an important character was not a good idea. bringing ali larter back was also, not a good idea. keeping any remnants of these three characters in this show is also, not a good idea. i hate them.
sylar as nathan hurts a little, i liked nathan. killin him was bad. making sylar him doesnt work in my head.
not down with ernie hudson on the show. he’s a cool guy, but not down.he always ends up playing a detective. you know the only time ive ever seen him not play a detective was on an incredible hulk show when he played a ■■■■■■■■■■ owner’s thug, and ghostbusters.
i cant believe that i like the ghostbusters but dont fap to everytime they do something. like dan running his mouth about gb3, and bill murray in zombieland with possibility of bein a gb, and now this?

It was covered in the Heroes Graphic Novel volume 1, the woman Matt and Ted met was Hanna Geitman (sp?) who could wirelessly communicate with electronics, she went after the satellite that tracked the implants and her body died in the process, however she uploaded her mind into the web to survive…
I liked DL and Nikki, but killing DL worked, Mica is and aslong as they keep the my wife and kids reject alive he’ll be rubbish.
Having Tracy over Nikki was poor, they should have just had her survive the explosion of series 2 and not just have another new character (there will be a third as they are triplets…)
If he has a power and a detective being in heroes could be good, but if he’s just a detective human than yeah seems like classic typcasting
But wasn’t Nikki’s dead sister the other triplet?
according to Kring, Nikki was adopted along with Tracy Strauss and the third sister Barbara, they were all created using the company’s power giving formula in the initial development of it (if they are clones, or just orphaned triplets isn’t mentioned) but Jessica Nikki’s sister in her adoptive family is not a blood relation

I agree with Ben and PC a little on both. I enjoyed every season equally, I think, except season 2 which, as everyone knows got shit on by a strike, but what can you do about that. They saved it the best they could.
Can someone please get rid of Ali Larter? Really. I’m tired of every character she plays. I have never liked a thing she’s done and it looks like I never will.
Unlike PC, though, I am confident Hudson will do great. He is a strong actor who is capable of making some waves in this series, if the writers can write the character well

I knew about this a month ago. He said at WizardWorld:Chicago he was just starting to finish up the taping for Heroes. Actually, he finished earlier than planned which is why he was able to show up for a few hours Saturday night.
